Two Dollar Bash
Scottish/French roots/folk/country band Two
Dollar Bash will be on tour in the UK in
June to promote their third album, “Lost River”,
which will be released through Proper Distribution
on June 9th.The album will be released in Germany
in September.

After their tours of Thailand, Hawaii and the West
Coast of the USA, The Durgas will be playing around
Germany over the next few months to promote their

Canadian folkies The Slaters will be doing a series
of dates around Europe in May. Their album, “Fresh
Pint” will now be released in the autumn, when
they will come back over for another tour.

London label Troubadour Records
are releasing “The Devil on the Stairs”,
a solo album by Mark Mulholland of
Two Dollar Bash, under license from Cannery Row Records.
The double CD is comprised of one disc of studio recordings
and another of a live gig from London's 12 Bar Club.
In advance of the release of the album, Troubadour
has released an i-Tunes EP consisting
of "Don't Want to Hear You Laugh" from the
studio part of the album, "Taking a Taxi"
from the live disc, and two bonus tracks not on the
album, "Departure Lounge Blues", a new song
recorded in San Francisco" in January with Rusty
Miller and James Finch Jr of the great Californian
band Jackpot, and "Lonesome Whistle", a
solo version of a song which also features on the
third Two Dollar Bash album, "Lost River",
due for release in June.

There will be a CD release party on Monday March 31st,
at the 12 Bar Club, Denmark St, London, starting at
7.30pm. Mark will be playing with drummer and percussionist
Chris Hughes, who also played on the album. Also playing
on the same bill will be Jason McNiff, who is celebrating
the UK release of his album "In my Time"
on Snowstorm Records (which will also be released
in Germany by Cannery Row Records in May), and Phil
Shoenfelt and Pavel Cingl, whose album "Live
in the House of Sin" is being released on Exupery

Two Dollar Bash at SXSW. Two Dollar
Bash are about to set off for Texas, where they will
play for the second successive year at the South by
Southwest Festival and conference (SXSW) in Austin.
The showcase is on Wed 12th March
at 1 am, at the Ale House, 310 E.

The new Two Dollar Bash album, "Lost

THE DURGAS have just finished a
great series of concerts on the island of Hawaii
promoting their frist official release of their acclaimed
debut album "Back To The Start".
The Durgas are just back from their support tour in
Thailand/Cambodia, where they played to and with children
from Tsunami affected areas (the Tsunami anniversary
being the 26th of December) and Burmese refugees,
in HIV hospitals and in communities where they are
bringing together children from different ethinc and
religious groups. Check their website for further

From May 2008 on the Durgas will
be coming back to tour in Europe

We are happy to welcome some new members to the Cannery
Row tribe: Montreal folkies The Slaters,
English singer-songwriter Jason McNiff,
spacey country rock’n’rollers Jackpot
and songsmith and multi-instrumentalist Tom
Heyman, both from San Francisco, are all
joining us to release their albums in 2008. Check

Solo album by Mark Mulholland on UK label
Troubadour Records
Cannery Row Records is pleased to announce that we
are licensing the recording "The
Devil on the Stairs" by Mark Mulholland,
of Two Dollar Bash, to Troubadour Records, a sub-label
of the UK company Easy Action Records
Troubadour are releasing a double album, comprising
the original 11 songs from The Devil on the Stairs,
self-released by Mark in 2003, plus "Taking a
Taxi" from the first Two Dollar Bash album, and
a second disc recorded live at the 12 Bar
Club in London in 2005. The album will be
released on March 31st, with worldwide
distribution, combined with a gig at the 12 Bar featuring
Mark and Chris Hughes, who played
drums and percussion on the album. This will in fact
be a triple release party, with sets from Jason
McNiff, who is also releasing "In
my Time", an album which he will be
licensing to Cannery Row for continental Europe, and
Phil Shoenfelt and Pavel Cingl, whose
album "Live at the House of Sin"
will be released on Czech label Exupery Records in
February.
There will be an iTunes single in
conjunction with the release of The Devil on the Stairs,
with “Don’t Want to Hear you Laugh”
from the original recording, “Chilled
Beer, Sunshine and Miniskirts” from
the live disc, and two bonus unreleased tracks:
“Lonesome Whistle”, a solo version
of a song which also features on the new Two
Dollar Bash album, “Lost River”,
and “Departure Lounge Blues”,
a new song recorded in San Francisco in January 2008
with Rusty Miller and James
Finch Jr of Jackpot.
