Jason
McNiff - In my Time
Release Date 09.05.08
Style: Singer-songwriter/folk
' McNiff's quiet, intimate,
fragile vocals draw you into his world - a melancholy
timeless place where he lives, a romantic loner
, a dreamer, at home with the blues ' TIME OUT
London
Son of a Polish mother and an Irish father,
Jason McNiff grew up in Yorkshire before taking
to the road with his guitar. “In my time
is McNiff’s 4th album, and like the others,
features supremely melodic, crafted, literate
songs and virtuoso acoustic guitar picking.
He is justifiably starting to be recognised
at the forefront of a short list of committed,
literate English singer songwriters.

Jackpot
- Moonbreath
Release Date tba
Style: Rock/Pop/Americana
5th album from the band described
by the New York Times as “California’s
best unknown band.” They play rock 'n'
roll at the core but it is embellished with
country and funk and spacey interludes and whatever
else the band improvises into the moment. Ultimately
the band is the brainchild and whim of front
man Rusty Miller. His unique lyrical talent
and equally unique raspy croon creates a haunting
alt country landscape for he and the band to
run wild in. “Moonbreath” is effectively
a double album, with 10 audio tracks and12 mp3s,
and also features contributions from Jason Lytle
of Grandaddy

Eamonn
Dowd and the Racketeers -
Silver and Dust
Release Date 10-11-2006
Style: Country Rock/Folk
Rock
4th great album from
Dublin troubadour Eamonn Dowd and his
band. Recorded by Paul Thomas, who is
best known for his work with Thin Lizzy
and early U2. Hot Press magazine said
of The Racketeers’ last album, “Exit
Hellsville”, "A damn fine example
of gravel-voiced country rock.....these
songs are full of unaffected, unrefined
humanity, a kind of world-weary, warts
'n' all honesty that's getting rarer in
music....there is something raw and real
about The Racketeers that's easy to love."
